Then it was Sue’s birthday when we were away. Lunchtime the day before I suddenly realised if I was going to bake something for a birthday breakfast I was already a few hours late. So I force-fed my starter and used slightly warm water, went up the road to find apricots to make mini Santes Dwynwen, mixed at teatime (whatever that is), shaped before bed and proved in the fridge.
Then, for the second time, I converted Dan Lepard’s Tahini Butter Buns to sourdough. Did it a couple of years ago and lost the formula.
