Yes, yesterday marked Bethesdabakers’ tenth aniversary. I don’t know if that makes us the UK’s longest established home-based bakery but I bet it’s the longest that didn’t end in divorce.
So I offered my hard-core customers the flatbread of their choice and suggested they might care to stop by for a small glass of wine.
Pretty or what? On the bottom, all time favourite Black Olive, Rosemary and Caramelised Onion Focaccia; front of the top rack, Parmesan & Courgette Flatbread; left & right Cherry Tomato Focaccia; in between, Red Grape & Fennel Seed Focaccia; left back, Apricot & Almond Fougasse; right back x 2, Fougasse Provencale.
Phoebe Dog, who usually gets a mini baguette, got a mini fougasse this week (it’s smaller than it looks – that’s a 2K Campagne it’s leaning against).
Oh the fun to be had with my new wide angle lens!
Imagine, setting up a microbakery a year before the Real Bread Campaign was around to show me the way. Can this really be true …?
