Heard the one about the barrister, the charity CEO and the tree surgeon?
Since Albert Smith let slip he had done a course with me on the Food Programme we’ve had hundreds of new readers hitting the blog. Some of you won’t be familiar with Bethesdabakin’ the annual baking weekend we started in 2007. This is based on bakers of all standards getting together to bake, share ideas and skills with no charge apart from shared costs. The eighth one is coming up at the end of May down at Rick & Maggie’s Mairs Bake House in South West Wales http://bethesdabakinatmairs2014.wordpress.com/ which has the added attraction of a monster Alan Scott wood-fired oven. And there are still a few places left!!
Anyway some of us can’t wait that long so I’ve organised a bijoux baking weekend at Gert’s famous B&B in Caernafon where the barrister (he’s the one who makes the coffee), the charity CEO and the tree surgeon plus a few others of us will be assembling this very night. It’s so posh we even have our food cooked for us and sleep in comfortable beds (four poster of course).
Full report to follow – if it’s successful there may be more.
