People who follow this blog but are not in any other contact with me may not have heard that Sue Wilson, my wife and partner of nearly 50 years, died very suddenly on 10 December.
It was a very strong and enduring relationship that I’m not yet ready to talk about.
Many of you who did bread courses with us will have met and shared lunch with Sue. Without her support, tolerance and the sacrifice of her own creative time, there wouldn’t have been a microbakery, bread books or courses.
That’s all I want to say at the moment but I’m hoping to at least put together a picture gallery in the coming weeks.

Hi Mick
So, so sorry to read your post this morning and to hear of Sue’s sudden death.
We had the pleasure of ‘knowing’ Sue through your posts and our various meetings over the years including a memorable supper with Clive and Aine. This gave us the privilege of knowing what a special person she was and the strength and importance of your relationship.
Our thoughts are with you.
With kind regards Barry and Sarah Fowler
