Remember this one? Bara CK bread – baked to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama for his first term so it must be eight years ago (bara being Welsh for bread). Cranberries soaked in bourbon and pecans. I think this loaf even has a slight resemblance to his long, thin face.
It’s hard to do commemorative breads for disasters and deaths as I remarked when Thatcher died. Don’t think I’ll be doing anything similar this coming 20 January.
